a good new idea - the seesaw map

one idea ive had for a while combines concepts from avanti style a/d maps and linear zone control maps like warpath.

i call the idea a "seesaw map." basically it would be like warpath in that the control points would be linear, but like and a/d map in that one team attacks only and the other team defends only.

so: it starts like a a/d map, blue team behind a gate, red team gets to set up d. then the blue team attacks and has to capture command points, 4 or 5, until they cap the one by red base, like in warpath, except that only the blue team can cap, the red team can't get the CPs back. Then when the blue team gets the last CP, unlike in avanti where the teams trade places, the red team starts from their own base and goes on offense in the other direction.

this might make mapping a little easier since maps could be symmetrical in design and cut the work in half.

also you could do this map in a Dustbowl style fashion, where there are two stages, from one base to a central CP, then to a CP by the other base, and then back to the center and et cetera.

well if the maps are symetrical... then whats the difference between having a one-way map where each team switches off starting at the beginning, and having a map that is symetrical? It would be EASIER to make it the current way... plus the maps can be more interesting because you dont have to waste space for the other, symetrical half.
