Just wondering if anybody has/is playing it (Private serv or Retail). Just wanna get some opinions on your experience playing it.

I haven't played any private servers, but every single server about a year ago was full PVP. By full PVP, I mean anyone can kill anyone and anyone can heal anything. I found a lot of people running around griefing and healing monsters others were fighting, or simply going up to them and hitting them once to kill them.

I don't know how it is now, though.

Yea, that's how it was on Lionna (retail server)... all the fucking Dark Elves one shotting every damn mob, not to mention all the farming that went on...

PvP is built into the game, but is balanced quite well. If you attack another player, you turn purple, and have the chance to drop any equipment you have when you die, and are attacked by guards. You have to grind it out on mobs your own level to get rid of it. Keeps the Alliance shits out.

I got a Dark Elf that I planned on going the Pallus Knight --> Sword Dancer path with, but I had no money at the time to keep paying for it .

You can heal monsters that others are fighting and kill lower levels (I.E. characters who just started or ones that are grossly under your level) as you so desire. This, at least, was how it was when the game was released. As I stated.

It might be balanced when you get two classes that are around equal level, but it's far from a good game design to have full pvp like that.

1. GMs frown heavily upon killing lower levels or around starting areas.

2. You put yourself at a high risk when you do kill other people.
