Have you read the several instances where I stated this was NOT my intention? Look, I am sorry if you got that impression. I got angry when I felt like my side of the fence was being stereotyped. I've said it before and I'll say it again... I have played and countless pubs and still pub occasionally. It's wonderful fun and also what got me hooked on the game. It was never my goal to prove that League play was superior to all others, and that FF should primarily focus on that aspect.

well, the colored scout model used to have a boombox weapon and his special skill was breakdancing, but they took that out as it raised a lot of balance issues*

*the trepids took it out cuz they dont like coloreds

No...there is a "radio" mod on CFH(Chips FunHouse)...where you literally build a huge radio that plays music. The only rule on it is, you can't block the map with it.

League play is better. Lots of people would prefer to play amateur baseball vs watch MLB. But they'd all prefer to watch MLB than watch amateur baseball.

The point is, playing might be fun, but league play is better! This is the case in TFC/FF. Better players, teamwork and gameplay in general.

There's nothing wrong with this.. It's a truism I guess, huh. hehe.

Also, competitive play !> pub play. It's just different.

I definitely agree with this. To me, they're completely different aspects of the same game and people will play whichever suits them better. I'm sure the aim of FF is to be balanced in a way that caters to both types (hopefully).

in short, if you want to watch the game, league play is better. but if you want to play, pub play is better.

I think you have to bind a key to "build_radio", or something similar. Once you log onto the server, the MOTD will give you the commands. It is a fun server, with lots of different maps. A very good community, too. Cheaters are not welcome.

No, I am speaking very literally. League/competitive play is better play. It isn't up to the player to decide, it simply is true.

It is only moderately less conclusive that league/competitive play is more fun than pub play, if you're comparing them in a vacuum and with people sufficiently experienced to judge both.

Regardless, this has nothing to do with FF or pub play/ers or anything. I think it was just what SkynErd was tryin to say. :P
