I love seasonal maps. But for a map battle I'd rather the template not be seasonal themed so that we could possibly get a map or two out of it that people won't get tired of playing in the off season. Besides even if a seasonal map was good enough gameplay wise to be played often, it'd lose it's magic getting played out of season so much.

Wubba made a map battle, you signed up for it, had a hard time understanding the rules, and then never released anything.

Next person that makes a map battle thread that offers Cash and or prizes, should give the cash to a 3rd party first so prizes will be allocated, this way the contest would be taken more seriously.

That last one offering money smelt of Asian fart on the London Underground, trust me I nearly puked, I yawned due to being exhausted and tasted the bloody thing in.

Rule No1. Never stand behind an Asian in crammed conditions.
Rule No2. Don't enter map battles.

Either way, no. The battles were meant for people to improve and learn how to map. Shouldn't need money to better yourself in an area.

Also why do you assume map battles are there for the mapper to improve? I think it is well fitting to say if we get 2 or 3 decent maps out of a map battle via offering incentives the community as a whole will benefit.

If you want to improve don't need a contest for it, just crack on.
Some may enter to enlarge epeen, others might actually find a cash reward helpful, some may do it for pure enjoyment, etc.

The last map battles failure had nothing to do with it's legitimacy or likeliness of pay out. Wubba would have payed without a doubt. But literally no one who entered released a map. And that's because our community is lazy, careless, and stupid.

You have misread what I have said, you must of because I have not indicated that the only thing that motivates me is money and quite determined to present your negative take on such a matter, does it really upset you that much that a small competition should offer a monetary value.

Your attempt at twisting what I have said has failed Ricey. Why you are being this way is an unknown, quite frankly a shame.

I did attempt some humor suggesting £10 = $125 to lighten the somber mood this topic has now become, well it made me laugh you looking up the exchange rate.

Not going to engage anymore on unraveling your nit-piking as it has become a little tedious on what should be a fun topic.
