2vs2: some rules
Hello everyone !
I come from France and i'm really glad to play such an awesome mod. Sorry for mistakes and thanks for reading. Recently i've played a 2vs2 game: waiting during a long time for new participants. The beginning was funny. And we nearly never swaped during the fight. Specially me and the exellent player from the other team. This player was deadly and he killed us many times with his HWM (not sure of the english word lol). And finnally we succed in killing him, and he nearly immidiatly swaped in medic... I'm not crying about the game and asking for an update. But it strikes me to find such nonsens from good players. So i just think for a sort of creed for 2vs2 playing on FF to increase fun and don't disgust players/rookies. Rules for 2vs2 in FF: 1-Be polite and welcomming. 2-Allways choose you're team by the button "Auto assign" or look at team's points. 3-Choose you're class and try to don't swap all times. 4-Respect efforts of the other team. 5-Never swap a class just for killing a particular player. 6-Try to have different classes in you're team (same for the other one ^^). 7-Don't forget that's you're waiting for a "really" team so don't flag too much. 8-Camping is totaly unfair in this situation (not enough players). Try to be allways in movement and NEVER camp respawn of the other team. 9-Wait or watch the match as spectator, don't disconnect too quickly if there is no players. 10-Come on FF to play and have a good time !! N.B: We must resist against TF2 ! FFF = Forever Fortress Forever ! |

First, welcome to community!
I agree with all the points, and I think that camping the enemy spawn is the most stupid thing you can you, by the way Also, when you're alone on the server, dont waste your time and practice your skills. It really hepls See you in game ! EDIT: That good player was propably a heavy weapons guy, and his primary weapon is called assault cannon ( I would call it minigun, but meh :P) |

Don't switch classes to kill a specific player? Sometimes you need heavy offense to kill a particular defender or to hold back offense... o_O

I'm going to move this to the clan discussion section, I see lot's of flaming and ickyness otherwise.

Why is swapping class non-sense?
He was an HW, he dominated you with his assault cannon, until your teammate and you found out a way to defeat him. So he swapped to medic in order to dominate you some other ways. Were you unhappy because you were forced to adapt and come up with new strategies to beat him? In large game like 10vs10, one should not change class for the sake of killing a particular opponent. He should choose his class according to the needs of his team. In 2 vs 2 game, one should pick class with the goal of killing in mind. Once he has killed the 2 opponents, the road to the game's objective is clear. ________ Vaporizers Portable Last edited by battery; 03-31-2011 at 11:36 AM. |
