New PC on its way!
I just bought a new PC from tigerdirect, should be here by jan 8th!
It's amazing what you can get for such a low price right now... I'm canadian so I pay more than americans and I find the prices so low already. I can't believe you can grab 4G of OCZ DDR2 for 10 bucks in the US, I paid 30 and I think it's a steal. Anyways, I can't wait to try this new shit out. It's gonna be a nice upgrade for me. From AMD 3000+ 1G RAM 6800GT to Q6600 8G RAM 9800GT. I will finally be able to load big maps without lagging in hammer! |

How much is that kind of upgrade costing you? I appear to be on a similar spec system as your old one and it's really starting to hold me down in terms of looking for games I can actually run these days. I'm not using my PC now as much as I was, but it'd be nice to be able to play Fallout 3 or something over a few weeks.

Around 1100$ minus mail-in rebates makes it around 1000$ CAN.

Just an FYI, unless Tiger Direct's rebates have changed recently, gl getting said rebates. I heard TD is shitty with rebates.

8 Gigs of Ram? Are you using a 64 bit OS?

Yeah I've heard of problems with getting paid but I've also heard of people not having any problem. If I get them, good, if I don't, I won't lose sleep over it.
And yeah, I'll be using 64bit Vista for things like photoshop where 8gig of ram will come in very handy. |
