In the US I beleve the "magic" age is 18. So you are 18 or old "getting jiggy" with anyone under 18 is illegal, even if you are within a 3 year range. Some people clain it to be 17 though...

Individual states can set their own ages of consent for whatever, AFAIK.

I thought it was something like that. Not that it really matters for me. I'm nearly 20, as long as I don't hang out in the local highschool i should be fine =P |

Thanks for some of the replies guys. Obviously, had a chat with her about it as I knew I would do, and cleared it all up. We've both been under abit of stress lately for various reasons that, like I said, I would leave out of the thread. I found that the way I handled telling her I wasnt coming on Friday, sorta caused her abit of concern aswell.
I definately know what you guys are talking about 'first love syndrome'. It definately exists, to a more basic level especially at the sort of ages we're talking. I think its pretty immature if someone in their 20+ was doing it - personally. I mean to alienate everything else. Anyway, about the age thing, well we're both from the UK(Consent is 16 yrs old). I sorta maybe expected a odd comment about the age thing and I can justify it, if I was inclined to. Anyway, for now, I'll say... we're both very happy and though yes like many im sure I maybe COULD manipulate things and such like, and get what I want from her and mess her around... but... I aint that type of guy, and I'm happy for people to question me aslong as they remind open minded. Especially that when I'm 30, and shes 23, no one care. Once again, thanks for the input |

No. Emo kids don't kill themselves, they bitch about it and do everything for attention. If you ever hear someone telling everyone how they have huge big emotional problems and how their parents are assholes then they don't have any real problems.
The people who have actual problems tend to keep it more bottled up (this is all based on what I've seen). I had a friend hang himself, and the general impression the day before was that he was fine. He'd gone through a lot of therapy because of his depression, and then bam. So no... she's emo. So no death. It's most likely an attention thing. |

Wow, you're a really caring person 651ett.
At 16 and under having parents split up can be quite a massive life changing event. Depends how it's handled though, I guess. |

My parents split up when I was 14, but I didn't starve myself.

Indeed I've got all my stuff. And that LAN Party sounds good. I'm in school now though, so weekends are my only option.
