IRC Client

So I've been using mIRC for all my IRC needs, and haven't switched because there hasn't really been a need. Until now. I started it up today, and my script to join my frequent channels isn't working, no matter what I do(EDIT: if I spam a simple one I made that says something in a channel, eventually it gets through, but that's the only way). There's nothing wrong with the script, I haven't done anything to them, but it keeps giving me this error:
Code:
* Break: command halted (line 97, aliases.ini)
* Break: command halted (line 84, aliases.ini)
So I figure, now's a good a time as any to go looking for a new client. Any suggestions? It needs to be able to run on windows, is really the only thing to narrow down choices(if it even does by any significant amount).

XChat.
The mac and linux version are free, they charge for the windows version (unless you compile it yourself or get it in a less-then-legal way).

use the channels menu? clear out all the default ones and put your own in. select the right networks for it, then tick "join on connect" or whatever it is.

I do use it properly, it just all of a sudden decided to crap out on me. I even updated it from a pretty old version to see if it'd fix it. I also don't always want to join the same channels every time I join a server, which is why I don't use perform. I used to use it though.

I'll check out XChat and NoNameScript after class.
