(Suggestion)SourceTV

I don't know if the devs are already working on a "new fixed" SourceTV or if it's in the list of things to do, but i was thinking of a really cool projectile-cam function. This feature would allow you to follow any projectile (nails, rockets, tranqs, or pipes) being fired from the person you are viewing.

I got this idea after i watched ryu's Fortress Forever movie with the rocket spiraling around maps. So you can blame him for giving me this idea. It would just make movie editing and spectating games totally badass.

To add to this, the e-rev.tv guys have a 'rock' cam that they use whenever a tank throws a rock in L4D. It works pretty freaking well. I think their cameraman designed it, so maybe finding out who he is and asking him might be an option.

that really is a badass idea.

reminds me of a movie i saw once where a sniper shoots and you follow the bullet to it's victim which turns into a cloud of nasty pink goo.

Is there a game out that has that kind of camera view?

If not then the FF Devs could make something out of that.

Perhaps peeps would say "HEY MAN! HAVE YOU PLAYED FORTRESS FOREVER
AND SEEN THE BULLET CAM!!" IT OWNZ!!!!!!

Another way to rope in the peeps to playing FF.

not sure how the cam would work, as on the map there would be several nails/rockets at any given time. Unless you had it on a player then clicked projectile cam so it followed all of their projectiles as they came out. But then what happens, hundreds of movies with rocket cams? Don't like the sound of that, I like the idea of someone having to do work to achieve such effects

I agree what you are saying about making it easier and giving the opportunity of countless movies using this feature. However, i have many brilliant ideas for this feature for a Spy movie that would utilize this cam feature with the tranquilizer.
