How to set up my new server for FF
Ok, before I get into all the questions, I will let you know that I am fully aware of how to manage a server after it has been setup completely, this includes adding/configuring plugins and even .sma files for amxmodx for CS 1.6. FF is a lot different I realize, and I'm having some issues, even the most basic ones it seems.
I installed Sourcemod, but don't know how to access the help part of it through my console, or even how to enable it once the files have been uploaded, so because there is not much support from the people at allied modders, does anyone know how to setup Sourcemod on FF? Secondly, is the map change/downloads. I tried to change to a number of maps, some wouldn't play properly without the LUA file, and I assume I can only get that from the map maker, or make my own for it. But, the real quesiton is when I change the map to conc_foamy, it doesn't allow any users to download the map. I made sure to set my sv_allow commands to 1, and still no go. I even created a res file to see if that would help, nothing. Is this because of the leak in that map or is there something I'm doing incorrectly? Also, where do I specify what default map plays when the server is reset or when it crashes? server.cfg? Out of all the mods out there, which one is the best, sourcemod, beetlesmod, manimod, metamod, etc? I chose Sourcemod because of the availability of plugins, but I'm not sure if even some of those would work for FF as they are labeled to be used for another game such as CS:S. And finally, is there any mod out there that I can have custom menus similar to amxmodx for CS 1.6 where I can type amxmodmenu in my console and it'd bring up custom menus? these are my questions for now, but I'm sure I will have more later as I continue to modify my new install of my server. My server IP is: 63.208.142.77:27015 - Suck my Conc Pub server - Seattle, WA 20 Player server hosted by gameservers.com |

Sure I'm running metamod witch is the hook then source mods. get ahold of me tomorrow eve around 6 pm pst. I think I'll have all the files you need. Game servers needs to set the default start up map for you. So put in a support ticket and be sure you have the map name spelled correctly.

I'm kinda busy so I'll comment quickly, I'm sure others can help too.
1. Load sourcemod using metamod source ex: addons/sourcemod/bin/sourcemod_mm 2. Not sure here, I utilize fast downloads via http (dunno what your using) 3. Load your default map via the server commandline switch ex: +map de_dust2 4. As for admin tools, its preference really. I left off using an older version of mani v1.2betar though since then tf2 has come out paving the way for all new code which I haven't had time to tinker with. If your looking for a straight up admin tool then try mani, if your looking to load allot of plugins and stuff you might wanna lean towards sourcemod, I haven't tried some of this stuff yet. frag on.. |

Beetle's Mod also works for FF.
I'm not sure on how it runs, but Bettle's Mod's TF2 port works well. |

The [o-t] is using MetaMod and SourceMod. SourceMod allows you to write your own plugins and exposes many of the server events to the language, very much like AMXX. I highly recommend them if you want the ablility to write your own plugins for player tracking, server administration, map voting, etc.
