The porting of FF material.

Today, there are laws implemented against credit theft. "Porting" is a common way this occurs. Porting is the act of using material on one game or engine, and making use of it on another game or engine.

Porting is legal with permission, and i am not aware how the Fortress Forever team deals with this. To cut to the point, i have seen Fortress forever material posted on another site, that was for another game.

seen here are FF weapons in TFC. The site (fpsbanana) is required to remove material that has been ported without permission.

So is this type of behavior allowed or not? if it isnt, i can get the submission removed.

mh, i don't see a problem with this.. ff is a tfc remake afterall

What good do you exactly see coming out of this? Will this build the playerbase? Positively inflate the reputation of the FF staff? What damage and problem for the FF staff do you see here that you feel needs to be solved?

i look at it as advertisement. besides how many things have we ported from tfc to ff???

Sorry, i was simply keeping everyone informed and trying to find out how this sort of thing should be handled, considering that people have the right to allow or not allow their material elsewhere.

Kinda reminds me of when someone jacked ff_well for TF2.

I feel bad for them playing on all that space and moving slow as hell.

Should be handled...? Seriously? Get a grip, man. This mod is pretty much dead and stuff like this just makes it seem like the devs are sore that their mod didn't do how they expected.
