.bspdm??

this is a general map question, not related to ff, but i figure someone here would know. My friend has created a map, and my clan leader has tried to play it on the server. However when the users DL it, we all get booted with an error saying "missing file/<directories>/<map name>.bspdm. For the life of us we cant figure out wtf is wrong. When i run the map off of my own pc it works though. any help greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, compiling maps for Linux servers isn't any different. I can't imagine why it would be, either.

it is different! since the ep1 update of the sdk, you can't compile any maps for the previous version of the sdk, any mod that runs with hl2 as game engine cannot load new bsp's (source sdk base) on linux, so those maps have to be compiled with CST

its still an issue if the mod is using an older source sdk version. Maps must be compiled using CST to run on linux servers until the mod updates to newer sdk.
