A new conc map idea

I plan on making a conc map, but this time it will be slightly different. Instead of 4 team names I will make each team a difficulty. Then you will be spawned into the team area and will only be able to use those jumps. When you beat the last jump you will be transfered to the next difficulty. This way you can choose which difficulty you would like to play on and as you beat that level you can then move on the the next bracket. What do you think guys?

I did something like this with my TFC maps, with a hard and an easy route you could take, I will be implementing this into ALL of my concmaps made for Fortress forever, not only does it make the starting jumps less crowded, the noobs can be challanged at the same time a good player can be

Make sure the teams are allied if the players can get from one difficulty to another

i can do this in my map, it gets progressivly more difficult so i can make red spawn halfway the map, and blue at the start

it's actually quite a good idea, i was thinking about adding buttons in a spawn room to set the difficulty, but this is actually a better idea

Ahh, having teams as difficulty choice is all well and good, but what if you want extra teams for other things?! Reverse, combination teams, can't have them aswell

Go stino! You are a pioneer .
Concing needs new creative thinking and you showed you have some funny ideas.

Someone should start blend in advanced concing with DM or CTF. Why have noone done that, ever?

Im not tryin' to burst ya bubble here Llama, but I don't get how Stino is a pioneer? I basically did something to this effect ages ago and I know for a fact there was several maps that included difficulty choice before mine.

Keep workin' on the map though stino ;P

There were a few maps like that for TFC, but instead of teams, there were teleporters, and each one took you to a different set of jumps baised on difficulty. When you finished that set you were teleported back to the main area where you could pick another set. Idk, just seems easyer that way.

Thats a good idea, you can put two bases accross from one another... just really high up and really far apart. A gap you have to conc to cap. That old old CTF canyon map from TFC comes to mind but the name escapes me.

concjumptfc kind of covered that concept but not to the extent of seperating out the easy/medium/hard by team (or more than one jump)

Make each team use same jumps but add some force fields / defensive turrets etc to make it more difficult for different teams

Although turrets would probably require that the teams are not allied... dunno.

Nothing for the original idea but I don't want to make a new thread about this so: How about a conc map where you try to conc the civ through the map? Maybe the concers can stand on some platforms where the civ can't and need to time the concs so that when the civ flies towards you, you blow a conc before he steps on ground and flies to the next and so on
