HOW DO I INSTALL IT?

I have team fortress 2, so I have the source engine. I looked at this game and am extremely interested. I tried to download it, but right now I just have a .zip on my desktop (the icon of a buncha books tied up with belt). What do I do? do I extract it? do I wizard it? PLEASE help.

Can I ask what the filename of the file you downloaded is, exactly? I think all .zip files were the updates/full installs for servers, not for clients, so you may have downloaded the wrong file.

As Pon said, the zip files are for servers only.

Make sure you go to options and change your nick name to something you like

kk it downloaded perfectly, but for some reason I click launch, and it goes black for 2-3 seconds and a window pops up, with the name engine error. the window says exactly- Platform Error: module failed to initialize.
