get a quad core and alot of ram. ALL of the models load in just a few seconds.

so yeah they did test their update, only not on mid and low end pc's |

not performance wise....
i meant compatible with ANYTHING. people without the OB, and even people WITH the OB are having pretty much the same problems. they didnt test it, and they are retarded |

I've got alot of ram I thought, cpu is my worst bottleneck atm.
1.50 gigs of ram must not be that much anymore |

Ok so I haven't / hadn't opened up hammer in a while so I just noticed all the crap that the new update messed up!
I got most of it fixed, but here is one I can't seem to figure out: My camera view won't show me any textures: Anyone know how to fix?

you have loaded the wrong mod, this happend to me when i tried to open ep2 maps when the game hl2dm was selected.

well I tried that, but even when my ff mod is selected it still won't show me anything but wireframe in camera and now hammer is just randomly crashing all the dam time...hate hammer some days!

Anyoneknow what might be goign on here? it's really tough to map this in wireframe...especially since I can't see any textures!
I have my mod selected and all of the paths are correct, but everytime I load up my Gazelle Pudding (yes that's what I called it b/c gazelle pudding rocks!) and open my map...I get the same as the pic I posted above...then after like 20sec (sometime longer) hammer crashes...getting to be a real pain in the ass! ~also have -engine ep1 in the launch options for my sdk

Has anyone given Quark a try with HL2 ( and up ) maps? I know it supposedly supports Source mapping but don't know anyone still using it. I played around with it a bit back in HL1/TFC and it seemed decent to use.
