The Beatles Rock Band

It made me cry.

That's how much of a man I am.

I can't say I'm a fan of the band, but is it any fun?

Been dabating this since it was announced. Not a giant beatles fan but some of the later stuff is pretty good. Coo Coo Ca choo.

Hear music has been going crazy with beatles stuff over the past month. I can only assume it's related. I'll probably get it for the song base. Hope there are some cool psycodelic stages and some cool Sgt pepper style clothes. Yes I like to play with rock dolls.

It's just like any Rhythm game. Vocals, guitar, bass, drums. The seller here is that it's The Beatles but 90% of these songs are playable or singable by anyone so it's a pretty good party game as well.

Like, I played every single song in the game on my first try on expert guitar without coming close to failing, but I've been playing games like this since Guitar Hero. However, I have had more fun with this in one day than I've had with Rock Band in a week... it's pretty different.

Depending on the era results in different stages and costumes. Early Beatles stuff has them playing on the Ed Sullivan set, Budokan, and one other I forget. After that the rest (except the last 6?) all take place in the studio. However, once the song starts, a dreamscape starts and there are some really, really great visuals.

Here are some vids:

I feel, though, that the best way to play this game is to play an instrument and sing.

However, for me, the big seller is the fact that you can have 6 players at once. 3 instruments and 3 singers, with the 3 singers choosing between solo and harmony. I haven't had a chance to play with more than one singer (you need multiple mics... also, people who will sing), but it looks fun.

Thanks for the feedback.

Well shit... looks like I am going to have to shell out some cash.

I like the idea of doing three part harmony's.

Plus all my other electronic instrument game stuff works. They have a cool compatability chart/song list etc on the site:

I'm actually planning on buying a 360, Rock Band 2 (with instruments), and Beatles Rock Band for my birthday. I'm not 100% sure yet though...

After having the game for about the month, I just ordered the triple cymbal pack online... Good call!

That will be the next thing I purchase. Drums = awesome so adding cymbals makes it feel more real.

I'll tell you, you I ended up getting the super expensive Beatles set and it's well worth it. Yes they are plastic toys... but they can take one hell of a beating!

I for one understand that Rock Band is NOT the real thing. Others, however, view it differently. But the game does often encourage people to TRY the real thing...

Too true. I have two cousins that were never interested in playing an instrument and now one is playing the bass and the other is saving up for an electronic drum kit (he's got a baby on the way).

It also has the problem of giving a dumbass the idea that they will be instantly GOOD at playing the real thing.

LOL, that too. I was never great at guitar but I think I enjoy Rock Band more because of the years I did play.

Dude.... I know this kid who's a dipshit, anyway... but he was "pretty sure" he could pick up a guitar and let fly. I handed him one of mine(I can't play for shit, and I know it).... he looked at it, literally STARED at it.... and said the following:

"This isn't a real guitar! Where are the buttons? You're fucking with me, aren't you!"
