Questions about Snow

Okay, so snow. You make a func_preciptation brush, and anywhere you are in that brush, it's snowing.

I've come across a problem, though. I've been testing concepts in maps, screwing around with stuff, and there's the problem of a door in a roof.

If the snow brush phases through the door, it snows both indoors and outdoors. Is there a way to move the snow brush or something when the door opens so that when the door on a roof is open, the snow falls in, and when the door is closed it does not? Thanks.

Looks like the only way to do it is to move the func_precipitation into a wall whenever the door closes using parent.

Make an invisible, nonsolid door that will move into a wall (stay time should be infinite). Parent the precipitation to it, and then add these outputs to the actual door that opens/closes:

OnOpen -> parent_door -> Close
OnClose -> parent_door -> Open

Hope that works.
