5316's update of d00m!

Well, now that my ball busting work for 2.0 patch is more or less wrapped up, I can get back to pumpin' out my 3rd party texture mods! wewt!


Some things in the work:

-Figured out how to change the rocket flair, and smoke trail
--> Smoke is a 2-fold problem tho.
------> 1) It uses the particle system. So no straight beams of awesome trail.
------> 2) Currently, it uses the same smoke as everything else that smokes. so if you change the trail color, it effects everything; spy gas, puffs of smke that come off when you shoot a wall, etc.

I can't remember if one of the other dev's said he would seperate the rocket smoke from the rest of the smoke using things.... I'll keep ya posted on that!

But anyway, not only can we now change the color of the smoke, but also the shape of the smoke! (right now I'm using blue o-shape things, hehe)

So stay tuned for the rocket flair / smoke mod info.


I really haven't done anything w/ my toon reskin's... but I hope to get back that after 2.0 releases.

Oh! I also got my own webhost... which means Ill be hosting my files there now, and not using crappy filefront. Was thinking of setting up some kinda of blog or forum there to use as a base for a lil mod community, if anybody is interested. A place to discuss texture mod ideas, model mods, pull resources etc. I'll even provide a bit of webhosting for a place to store completed work.

Lemme know if anybody is interested. Its not going to be limited to FF only, other games like NS, NS II (when it comes out!), FF, of course, whatever.

Could make a n00bie training area too. that might be neat. Of course, now I'm just rambling....
