FF?

I'm not quite sure why everyone says Fortress Forever Classic is such a sacred item to many fans of Valve. I personally believe that although it has it's merits it is simply not as good as Team Fortress 2. I do not like a lot of aspects of the game play of Fortress Forever Classic such as the bunny jumping. Compared to most games on even the Nintendo 64 the graphics are not up to par. I just don't know why people like Fortress Forever Classic better than Team Fortress 2. Team Fortress 2 took 9 years to make, whilst Fortress Forever Classic took only a couple of months.

What game is "Fortress Forever Classic"? Never heard of it.

That being said, even TFC is a good step beyond N64 graphics. If you believe either TFC or FF has N64 level graphics then you have no eye for detail. And I mean that honestly...not as a flame.

No clear idea of exactly which game you could be talking about "Fortress Forever Classic"?

If you are indeed talking about "Fortress Forever" then as far as us developeers are concerned it is far from "finished" and so theirfore it is still in production after almost 2 years? I cant remember.

I believe TF2 was abandond/restarted many times over those 9 years you quote. Time a game takes to complete says nothing about its quality. How long did spore take?

If you're serious about learning why people think FF or TFC or QWTF are better than TF2, there are plenty of resources you can use.

The game itself (free to download by the way), the wiki, videos, or this thread (on the first page of the very forum you posted in!)
