That's TF's uniqueness in comparison to the regular FPS's, it's why the game appeals to us.

I don't post much.
But I think this requires one. What he said about the 2fort ramps is completely true. PHISH, you know as well as I that gold people perfect almost every movement out there. I am only really concerned about match play for this game, and I personally think it will hurt that. That is a good five seconds shaved off reset time on 2fort. I'm sorry, but that is too much. It really will make walking along the ramps pointless. Say a medic is dming the top solly or fatty, whichever way yall play it. So the medic kills him, and then has to walk around those ramps to get there. With that in place, you can instantly get there. Yes it might not be "easy" but you know people will pick it up really quick. Remember how tough rampsliding in openfire was? Yet now everyone can. "Easy" changes. Thats one of the greatest things about this game, if it can be done, people will find it and use it. But that is a little much imo. I am glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. |

I think we should wait and see how it plays before we make any statements like that.

The 2fort he did the doublejump on was the original, just ported to FF. The FF version will be different.

if you guys want to keep playing tfc then, by all means, keep playing tfc. this is FF, not TFC. the game is evolving and moving on in a newer, hopefully better direction. have fun in your box.

not sure, but it has been said that bhop is balanced... for example, a bhopping hwguy at full speed is not going faster than a running scout.

Alright, id like to quote 3 people, but it would be to freaking long of a post... first off...
Yaz, stfu, enough about people hacking... Next... the real debate of this topic... Double Jumping yes, it can help defenders, as you said but it also can help the other team, why would the medic not use this jump aswell?? and if as you said "Gold players master all of things" then the medic could do this no prob (they are both gold right?) all classes can do it, and its not like they can double jump in midair... only off a 2nd ledge... wooo? Its not a major effect to the game, its a small and effective change that will make FF a little different so people arnt like WTF this is just TFC that looks better.... they want the game to be a little different, with balances that TFC didnt have... oh... and about the bhop thing... i REALLY doubt that when you double jump, your going to be able to maintain the same speed from your bhop, and such... if your double jumping your trying to get someplace a little higher, not go faster.... |
