Fraps

So I was working on making a paintball movie a while ago but never finished. I tried picking up where I left off but for some reason now when I record with fraps it is extremely laggy.. to the point where the recorded videos are not even worth putting in. I've tried reinstalling and it still does it. So...
A- Anyone know how to fix that?
B- Anyone know a program that I could use instead of fraps to finish my movie?

I'm getting the same problem with WeGame. I'm thinking it's got something to do with hard drive space?

I wouldn't think so.. I still have 60gb free space.

I've got 125. But, as it happens, that's the halfway point of my hard drive's total space. Before, it recorded fine. Now, it records like shit.

I'm thinking there's a connection, how 'bout you?

I deleted some shit before, freed up another five gigs or so, and did some recording - guess what.

Go on, guess.

No, the recording got smooth again. For a few videos, anyway, then it sucked some more.

160gb. I have 85 free now, but still laggy.

edit- 96 free and still lag. I give up on that
