MS SQL Server Express 2008

Ugh..need to open a .mdf file but when i try to navigate through the GUI of MS SQLSrvXP2008, I can't "find" the database...is there a stock location i need to past the file into first? There's no browse option, just a dropdown for "database" ...thanks!

Hmmm, not familiar with "Express", just the regular version, although I know it has some functionality restrictions. If you right click on the "databases" in the management studio, do you see "Attach..."?
