_rt_Camera broken?
(Since this has to due with the game itself, mapping & modding as well, not sure where to put this)
I was attempting to make a security camera of sorts via any means. Either mapping or spawning via sourcemod using _rt_Camera: func_monitor or info_camera_link produce this error: Error: render target texture not found - defaulting to _rt_Camera! It spams the hell out of my console with that. I'm pretty sure the entities and materials are setup right, done this before. Last edited by UMTeleporter; 07-04-2009 at 05:24 PM. |

I would go with mapping forum just b/c the skilled people check that more often.

It works; we have an example map with a working camera.
It uses this texture on the monitor: dev/dev_tvmonitor1a And the camera's renderTarget is set to _rt_Camera. I think at one time we had it modded in to allow multiple cameras at once, but it might have been broken. |

Where is the example map?
(If you're talking about test_rearview.bsp, I found it on these forums earlier. That doesn't work either) |

It's in the private beta version. I don't have the source vmf, but I should be able to whp one up for you.
ff_cornfield also uses a camera/monitor, so I'm sure it works. |

Ah, thank you, I needed to set renderTarget in point_camera (worked without this in other mods, I thought anyway.)
