Problem launching
I recently reïnstalled FF and noticed that it doesn't launch. When I click the shortcut it says "validating SDK" and the bar starts to fill up till it says "100% ready", and then I get an error message saying "The steam servers can not process your request as they are busy, please try again in a couple of minutes".
Funny thing is that I can play TF2 just fine and have already played for several hours today. I seem to get that error with every 3rd party game though, the same happens when I try to play HL²CTF. |

Do you have Source SDK base?

Yes, when I go to "Tools", I see "Source SDK Base" "100% Done"

I tried to load up the SDK but it just loads, validates and then does nothing. I removed the local content and reinstalled it but it had no effect.

One small problem. When I select the game and chose properties, I only get 1 tab, "General". While if you select, for example TF2, I get 4 tabs "General, Updates, Local content & Language". The fix he's suggesting can only be done from the "Local content tab" which I don't seem to have on any third party game.
Cheers for finding it though. |

I'll have another look tomorrow |

Just a long shot but I have windows vista 64 bit and steam is installed in a map called "Program Files x86", instead of a normal "Program Files" map. Could this be the reason why it wont work? I only ask because I just read on a forum that a certain 3rd party mod has to be installed in "Program Files" and not "Program Files (x86)".

I don't see why.
I'm on XP x64 but my steam folder never lies in Program files but in D:\Steam E:\Steam depending on my games drive. |
