Dual boot with vista and XP

We'll I'm getting mad of not being able to use 32-bit programs with vista. I was wondering if I could take the info off an XP recovery disk and use that info with vista to make it dual bootable. I'm looking for any help I can get.

Yes, you can make your machine dual bootable with Vista and XP. You're going to need to have the OS install discs available for both OS's available as well as the working CD Keys. Do you have all of those?

Once you have those install disks on hand you can use this link to help explain the steps. It's not THAT hard.

If it's an XP recovery disk you will probably need to install that first...
Is the recovery disk for the laptop or from another computer?

That's why I mentioned install disks. Recovery disks won't let you install the two OS's side by side.

Doesn't vista automatically adds xp to dual boot? Also vista's new boot manager is nicer, which is surprising.

lol I had ubuntu, xp, and vista at one time.

I believe it does if XP is installed first. In this case I believe he's starting with a Vista solo build.

When vista first came out. If you updated from XP to Vista, it de-validated your XP key O_O. IDK if this was fixed but I would assume so...

I believe that's only if you buy the upgrade version. Otherwise the full version allows side by side installation...I could very well be wrong though...Vista hasn't made me mad enough yet to do it.
