Scoreboard Question

Is it going to be top and bottom or side by side? Top and bottom sucks IMO because you have to scroll down when you are on big servers. Side by side would alleviate that.

Also, please, for the love of Moses on a rocket-powered pogo stick, do NOT make the scoreboard scroll down... have it scale the text or SOMETHING. Just make it so you can see everyone on screen with maximum people in the server.

Meh, maybe make it so you can expand and contract teams. That way if you have to scroll you can just click on one of the teams to hide it and then you shouldn't have to.

oh and make sure to meet the requests and fit it in before the release so we have to wait another month or so =)

j/k... but if this stuff is thought about and decided to implement (if it isnt already) id say wait and implement it in a patch... its not major stuff but cool ideas that would be nice!

I sure am glad we have to have a post like this in every fucking idea thread ever, because we all know the devs are too stupid to decide what's an extraneous feature and what should really be in the first release. IT'S UP TO US, GANG, TO MAKE SURE THE DEVS DON'T GET IN OVER THEIR INFANTILE HEADS.

i wasnt aiming for how you interpreted Circ... but...

the way that the post was made, I took it to be a statement of, on the first release... but w/e, nor was it a serious comment, if you continue reading i basically say its a good idea, but not for the first release is all...

How do other commericial games approach huge player lists? Anyone play BF2 or CoD 2? (I don't...) Can someone tell how they manage the huge lists? I think on BF2 they have the 2 teams side by side which would probably work out in FF. Anyway, definately don't bother with the list for the first release unless it's something quick.

Yes, that's exactly how I interpreted it. You don't need to tell the devs what might potentially hold up a first release but isn't necessary for said release: they have brains, and they want the game out as soon as the rest of us. So there's no need to say "Yeah it's great but save it for an update later." The devs are smart enough to make that call on their own.

well the scrolling inconvenience would be a problem (even though i dont know wtf he is talking about, in no mod or source game have I had to scroll to see scores...)
