Can't connect to my dedicated server..

So I found a company to host a dedicated server for me. Up until a few days ago I was able to connect to the direct admin panel, access the websites without issue, etc.

Something happened where I can no longer access the server. My browsers time out, I've tried chrome, IE, my desktop and my laptop.

Here is a failed attempt to ping the server's address:

C:\Users\Ian>ping 37.72.100.51

Pinging 37.72.100.51 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 37.72.100.51:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

I can access from my phone if my phone isn't connected to wifi.. so it's gotta be an issue with my network.

Is there anything I can do to try to troubleshoot this and find out what's going on?

I upgraded my router's firmware but that made no difference. I don't know a whole hell of a lot about routing but I can access the router to check shit if people have any ideas.

Maybe your ISP is not routing to the IP properly? It's a small chance but it's certainly possible.

Do a tracert cmd to the ip and give me the results.

Wow I fixed it apparently..

I went into my router settings and cloned my MAC address, then I turned off my modem and router, turned them back on and now I'm able to connect to the server.

I'd love to know the logic behind this fix if anyone has any fucking clue lol

Well spoofing your own MAC address isn't going to do anything but bypass security if you have statically set IP addresses for your router. Turning it on/off will reset the settings and your ISP will more than likely change your IP, but shouldn't change any settings though.. weird.

Yeah it definitely changed my IP address because I had to use authcookie command for mIRC to re-auth.
