Dedicated server hosting

So I'm in need of a US based dedicated server to host an eCommerce website and multiple small websites (like 100+ small content-driven websites eventually).

I'm not streaming any video or anything like that, so the bandwidth limit doesn't need to be insane.

I need at least 8gb, 16gb preferable, multiple IP addresses if possible, and cpanel or directadmin.

I have no clue where to begin. Rackspace is too high end and expensive from what I can gather.

It's so difficult to sift through the noise.. I've tried looking at all the postings on www.webhostingtalk.com 's dedicated server hosting sub-forum.

It seems like the cheaper options nickel and dime for every option that isn't listed.

Has anyone personally worked with any hosting companies or know where to find the best values?

AWS... They have a free hosting package. Start with all their free stuff, watch your usage. If you need more, you can upgrade to their paid packages. Very cheap, very reliable & highly scalable.

Depending on your region you might find better pricing. Amazon Web Services offers a lot of different options that you can read on their website http://aws.amazon.com/business-applications/ as absolute said. I'm sure there are technology parks near you that might be able to offer something better, but it depends on the needs and where you live.
