The Hardcap/Skimcap
Okay, so here goes:
Note: To be more accurate, I will call the "hard cap" a "skim cap" 1. Terms and Values Soft Cap: Soft cap is the unaided bunnyhop speed cap. While above it, your speed is multiplied by a percentage on each jump queue. In 2.0, this percentage is 0.65 (65%). In 2.1beta, this percentage is 0.65 (65%) Skim Cap: Skim cap is the maximum speed you can get after a jump queue. When you land with a speed above the cap and have a jump queued, your speed gets set to a percentage of your class' base speed. In 2.0, there is no skim cap. In 2.1beta, this percentage is 1.8 (180%). Skimming: Skimming is jump queueing while above the soft cap. You are still being affected by the soft cap, but you are above the unaided bunnyhop speed. Value Comparisons: These are all based on scout speeds: 2.0: ~1200 in-air conc speed -> ~1000 first jump queue -> skimming (speed * 0.65 on each jump queue) 2.1beta: ~1200 in-air conc speed -> ~720 first jump queue -> skimming (speed * 0.65 on each jump queue) 2.
