TFC 4 LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot say enough on how GREAT TFC classic is and how I am looking forward to the next installment of TFC. Does anyone have an idea on how long of a wait do we have for the new one to come out?

I remember logging in at least 4000 hours over the last 6 years playing TFC and for some reason I still cannot get enough of it. Many thanks to all who still run TFC classic servers out there, without you the game would trully be dead.

This is Darken Hellspawn,

Many Thanks,

PS. [CMF] Exile, [CMF] Killer and others...............I have been looking for you for 2 years now and I hope you READ THIS!!!!! I am going to get you on a mulch map again someday and show you the power of Darken HellSpawn.

www.cmf4life.com The [CMF] clan may be dead but my hatred for you still burns in the fire of my Solly rocket blasts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4000 hours? Thats 2 hours of TFC every day for 6 years.
Question is, does that impress or depress you?

Sounds about right for a lot of players, but not spread out that much.

I honestly think i put that much time in quake 1 TF but not tfc. TFC was AWFUL! I have nothing against FF or TF2 but really looking at style and gameplay. TFC had awful graphics (at its time. Worst models, effects just everything) Gameplay was pure anime style arcade games like capcom vs streetfighter or something. No skill just double jointed fingers and reaction time.
This mod looks sweet but it would be nice if they slowed it down a bit and made grens a selectable weapon and not pop out of your pee pee. TF did that becuase of limits on engine and TFC was just a poorly done recreate.

I just miss the dark, gory side of TF on quake 1. TFC looked like a comic book which TF2 is pretty much adapting to, so i dont know why people complain.

You mean they achieve 4000 hours in under 6 years?

And they say computer games are for geeks.....

In the summer I play at least 10-12 hours a day, and I have a 3 month vacation.

QWTF will remain king for me... it may have given birth to TFC but the original is the best for me... the action was just so much more fluid and original... I had problems adjusting to TFC, as it felt like a totaly different game with messed up physics and diss-jointed gameplay...

I think you're slow.

Awful graphics? The HL1 engine got how many 90%+ reviews on its graphics? I still play TFC, and I think it's graphics are very good for it's time.

No skill.. but reaction time is required? You like contradicting yourself or are you too dim to realize what you're saying?

There is lots of skill in TFC, but you probably wouldn't know as I doubt you ever played it competitively. Go home.

As per your question (whoever started the thread), the next installment will be bundled with HL2: Episode Two, as Team Fortress 2.

I'm actually kind of depressed at how all of you fail to look at the issue from another point of view. None of you have played FF or TF2, you can't say which is better or worse. At the moment, FF looks better, but that could change. I'm sure the devs of FF know this.

Whoever said TFC required no skills hasn't played it. And by "Played it", I do mean on a team.

I guess I could be wrong though, but I've always thought the deep strategy of Offense and Defense was a skill. I always thought playing a spy and being as deceptive as you possibly can was a skill. I always thought playing Pyro and not letting a single flame go anywhere but your enemy was a skill. I always thought handheld concing was a skill. I always thought triple conc jumps was a (easy to learn) skill. I always thought rocket, pipe, EMP and Pill jumping were skills. I even thought the ability to follow your opponent well with a fatty cannon was a skill. Let alone conc aim.
