What was the city map that was actually alot of fun, was usually played low-grav and occasionally was MegaTF in the QWTF days? was it streets4 or something? My memory of 10 years ago sucks

i cant remember seeing the 'parent' parameter in player spawns, otherwise a lot of things can be done. But make that vehicle a HL2 vehicle, like the jeep, not a thruster based moving object

Sounds a bit like the town maps from QWTF:

I could imaging playing CTF in the streets of City 17. Would be good fun.

I remember a map like this in Unreal Tournament, too.

This is quite an undertaking, and I'm waiting to work on it till the idea is developed more. Though I can see a map like this being played profusely (if its designed and textured right). |

Yeah, I know I'm a few weeks late to the thread, but here's my 2 cents.
I say drop the blue team idea; I just don't like the way it feels. And also, I say just leave the spawns at the edge(s) of the map altogether. Put a teleporter to the truck in the spawn area, but do not force them to use it. This sounds like a less glitchy way of doing things, and spawn camping shouldn't be a major problem. This would be a really neat map to see, and I absolutely love the maps that follow different/unique game styles. |
