Beer
As of right now I have had a hard time finding a decent beer that I like. I think most of you guys will agree that beer from a draft/draught > beer from a bottle, so make sure to differentiate between the two when you say a beer.
Right now my favorite beer is Rolling Rock (draft). The bottled version is a pale shadow of its draft cousin. It is, shockingly, a decent American beer ("decent" and "American beer" usually do not go hand in hand). So, I just wanted to hear about your favorite beers (import, domestic, homebrew, whatever). Maybe some of us will try out the other guy's favs. Keep it to brewskis, please (I love vodka and Everclear more than anything else, but still, beer thread!)

Samuel Adams Black Lager
That shit is awesome. There's some other shit I had recently, it's some German named shit. God damn, I can't remember the name of it. It started with Koer... or some shit, I don't remember, and it had one of those umlaut shits in there somewhere. I think the slogan was something "...of the Black Forest" or some shit. I failed with Google and trying to find this beer cause it was pretty good boner ass. The Sam Adams Black Lager was the best tasting shit I've had in awhile. |

Yeah, the only other Sam Adams I've ever had was their Boston lager about 3 years ago. I was unimpressed, and I think that was only because I was expecting for it to be the best fucking beer ever because of it being hyped up so much. I haven't had the Boston lager since then, and I should probably try it again.
I was expecting this black lager shit to also suck dick, but my friend told me it was fucking incredible, and he was right. Of course, he and I both enjoy dark beer. He was also the guy who gave me the other German shit to try. The point is, I like dark beer and so I really liked the Black Lager. I thought it was better than Guinness Draught, which I think has become pretty common. I mean, it is common but it's just that most people that I know can only name Guinness as a dark beer. Of the people drink with, most aren't aware of all the other great dark beers out there. Guinness is still great, but god damn the Black Lager shit was fucking awesome. See, I'm hyping it up, just like Boston Lager was hyped up when I first had it. If you don't like dark beer, and only drink dark beer very rarely you probably won't like that sweet angel titty milk. |

Never been that crazy about beer. It seems like so much to drink for so little alcohol, and it never sits that well with me. Heineken is okay, though I'm still not crazy about it.
Seriously, though, maybe beer just isn't your thing so much? I've never felt obligated to find one I "liked", I'm content with the hard stuff. I usually stick with Jack & Coke, preferably very strong. And remember- a beer is always a beer, but if you know the bartender, a mixed drink can be really really strong. Much better deal for the money. Hard liquor ftw! |

it depends. i know most brits love their shitty carlsberg/carling lagers, but its just crap.
i like the continental stuff myself, along with a few other oddballs. my top beer has for a while been Baltika, a quite gassy Russian lager. if you want ale though, Cornwall's the place to be! the only ale i like from anywhere else in the UK is spitfire. |

Well the thing is I really do not like bitter or sour things... Heinken, for instance, a beer that is generally regarded as good beer, is too bitter for me. I actually like my beer to be a little sweet if possible. I know, not the normal beer drinker's perspective, but then again, in all of my time here have I ever exhibited any normal behavior? (|:

Sam Adams Summer Ale is another favorite of mine. I like all of their seasonal brews, but the Summer Ale is especially good. Harpoon makes a good Summer Ale as well.

Depends on whats available and what i drink it to/why i drink it.
Guinness (truely horrid on cans though), Duvel, Murphys, Kilkenny, Some norwegian variants that i wont bother listing, lapin kulta, grolsch, urquell (same here, dont buy it on a can) and the list goes on. If its hot outside i quite enjoy stuff like a cold heineken and carlsberg etc. Heck, i even had a period where i found Millers to be refreshing hah. The only beer I've truly hated was Nøgene Ø Pale Indian bottle matured beer. That thing was horrid in my opinion and at $10 a bottle its a crime. Some people love it tho. Draught > bottle > can applies to all of them.

Go to Belgium.
Get a Delirium Tremens. Enjoy the best fucking beer I've ever tasted. You can find it sometimes in other european countries but you have to go to really big pubs. Tiger beer rules too ! Only place I saw it outside of Asia is the Roadhouse pub in London. Pelforth is really good too, it pays off for the culinary insult vegemite is. |

There's a "Flying Saucer Draught Emporium" in Houston that we were unable to goto a couple weekends ago, and there's some shit where you can get a sample of any 7, or some shit, of their one-hundred something beers, and god damn I wanna do that shit.
And there's a Fox & Hound pub in College Station that does weekly $2 pitchers of any beer they have (maybe it's pint, I ain't remember shit about flowers), but I dunno if all Fox & Hounds do that, or if all of them had the huge ass selection that particular Fox & Hound has. Fox & Hound? This was important information to all of you, too. |
