cutting out violences sucks. last week, Gaara was doing his sand coffin/burial whatever for the first time, and all the blood was black.
whats worse is, it recaps last episode beggining each show, then after every commercial break it cuts back to a couple scenes. the damn show only airs on friday night, for half an hour. so most of it is.. well, nothing. Fullmetal Alchemist looks like it's cut less though. any other cartoons/shows you guys like to watch on tv? |

I feel compelled to go watch episode 4 of FLCL at least once or twice a week.
Full Metal Alchemist I thought was really good, except for the last episode and the movie which have nothing to do with the show (And the movie doesn't make a damn bit of sense). Anyone seen Gungrave (By the guy who wrote Trigun)? I've got it dl'd but haven't gotten around to it yet. P.S. Mezzo Forte was weird. The 2 sex scenes were so out of place it was funny. It's like "We hope you like the action so far, now look at this porn." At least it was well animated . |

FMA and Naruto only tick me off because my stupid cousin watches them, and instantly assumes that's exactly what alchemists and ninjas in the real world did/do. FMA's not so bad in and of itself, but I don't watch it because I'm sick of being reminded about equivalent exchange and sins against God.

Supposedly up until then is the prelude to a game that was on Playstation or something. Right around there is where the game started. If you watch it, you will see how it seems more like a "game" type storyline after the middle of the series. Seems like he is going through stages/levels and at the end of each level is a boss that he has to defeat. Anyways its great, check it out! 8/10 |

when i was a kid, i'd gone on a trip with one of my dad's friends. the guy's whole family and network of friends were devout christians. apparently it was their duty to tell me that everything and anything that i believed in was a sin against god. for practically every second of the trip. i had to sing songs after dinner as a form of entertainment. the kids didn't neglect to inform that i was going straight to hell, because my family believed in "gold painted statues". charming. i'd asked the girl how she knew, how she could be so sure about everything. she said she would find out, and if she were wrong, she'd commit suicide. girl, you're chinese. your whole existence is practically a sin against god. ever heard of KKK? so has anybody seen Elfen Lied? i'd like to see that someday, though i heard it was never finished. manga.clone-army.org <--- has a good fan comic about it. his drawings and stories are also very, very good. check it out. |

Elfen Lied was amazing and was finished, however, its a little different from the manga from what I hear. Elfen Lied is one of my favorite anime's ever EVER. Just watch the first episode and you will see why. Immediately hooked me.
This anime is VERY bloody and does contain plenty of fanservice. Some of the fanservice could have been done without, but eh, oh well, still a great anime. Some people complain that the story isn't too good, but I disagree. Its a freaking 13 episode series, what do they expect? For 13 episodes it is very well done. I rate this one a 9.5/10 |

Fanservice is crap. It's either filler, or used to keep your attention. Either way, bad sign.

Although there is fanservice in Elfen Lied, it didn't degrade it at all. Trust me, just give the first episode a shot! I'm guessing if you liked the goriness/bloodiness of Kenshin's OVA's, then you will like Elfen Lied.
Just talking about this series makes me want to watch it again!!! |

Anyone play ONI or Shogo? Both had that Anime Feel that I haven't seen in many games. Enjoyed both...though I hated having to cope with the controls in Oni that you could not customize.

Shogo was crap. Seriously. I mean, what was up with the second level? Here's two handguns with 999 shots, but it's a completely nonviolent mission. In fact, if you shoot anyone, we'll kill you. Yeah. Go talk to this guy.

I played both - I really enjoyed ONI, despite the somewhat crap keyboard controls, and the endless expanses of boxes. Which, I think, is why I'm finding SiN so funny
ONI really had the Anime vibe down: intruging characters and mysterious story, with a complete cop-out ending |

The controls for ONI were editable, you just had to mess around with a .ini in the root directory of it, and know the codes for all the keys you wanted to use.

Oni was awesome, despite the classic Bungie level design (That is, extreemly terrible level design)
If anyone liked Oni, they should read the Ghost in the Shell manga or watch the GitS Stand Alone Complex show (Both seasons are absolutley astounding. Some of my favorite anime ever.) You can see the heavy influence on Oni from these series. Konoko vs. Major Kusanagi Hehehe. |

Bungie originally planned on including multiplayer, but scrapped it due to technical difficulties.

"Bungie originally planned on including <whatever>, but scrapped it due to technical difficulties."
This is Bungie's mission statement. |

I just watched "Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex" and jeez it was great. I admit though, I'm kind of dumb and probably didnt catch it all thoroughly enough. Its got mucho dialogue and crap. I think I'm going to have to read a summary on it to fully catch it all. I think I caught most of it though. Great thick plot! Oh and for a series, its got super top notch, grade-A animation. I just love how they so beautifully blended the CG in to the series. Especially on the Tachikomas (pardon spelling)
Now I will move on to the GITS Innocence and then GITS 2nd GIG. Can't wait for those! On note of other animes, I just realized within a week of today, that 3 other anime's are complete: "Jigoku Shoujo", "Shakugan no Shana", and last but not least "Monster". The first of these two series finished rather recently while Monster, I know, finished quite a while back. I was just awaiting Anime Kraze to finish their subs (didnt want to watch the soldats versions ) Aww jeez, where to start, where to start?.?.? So much anime, so little time.
