engies gloves...
how do you change their color?? i looked at the normal map to find that they were covered by black..so i went over it with yellow..but instead of yellow..they are the same color as the new camo pattern im using.. what gives?

don't edit the normal map, edit the models' vtf. but tbh i didn't really understand your post

yeah i know that...i had to look at the normal map because sections of the vtf were blacked out. i colored over the black sections(where the gloves were) with yellow, but in game the gloves are camo, and there is no camo on the gloves in the vtf. i have not had this problem with any other classes.

check the engineer_acc_classcolor.vtf's, and the engineer_accessories.vtf
could be that the gloves skins are there, and not on the engineer body vtf. I noticed that being the case on a few models. IE: Sentry gun base has an image in the sg vtf's, but the actual base has its own vtf.

Is it a matter of just texturing it in photoshop? If so, can't you simply open it up and change the color of just the gloves portion of it?

tried that already (about 1 billion times) so when i have a chance ill change the pants to yeller and see what happens

Yeah, the engy gloves use the same tex as the pants. I think that was around when our texture artist basically wandered off, so we kinda cheated there
