Ninja!
When I get out of College I hope to go into video game design. And I came up with this little idea of a Ninja if it were to be a class in TFC, FF...any class based game. I realize that FF is not going to add any classes, and I wouldn't want them to. I would just like every ones thoughts and such, suggestions, w/e about my idea.
P.S. Please try not to think of the Ninja as something that should be added or any thing, so plz don't flame. Stats HP: 100 Armor: 100 light. Wieght: Light. The ninja should have a speed some where in between the Scout and the Medic. Since the Ninja wont have any concs, this should be just fine. Should also be able to take more damage then Scout but less than Medic. Weaponry: The bold numbers are possiblities. 1) A knife. It would work like the spys knife, a good ninja should be able to sneak up behind someone and assassinate them. 2) Ninja stars. Rate of Fire would a little faster than the rail gun. Maybe throw two at a time? About as powerful as the rail gun. No need to reload. Can hold up to...100? 3) Explosive Shuriken. (explosive, hand thrown darts) These would be thrown one at a time. Probobly with the rate of fire of the rocket launcher, but only as strong as a single pipe and about the same explosive radius of a pipe. And can hold...i dunno. 20? Without having to reload. 4) Ninja star gun. Would work exactly like the nail gun, but with ninja stars. 5 Explosive Shuriken gun. Would work like nail gun, but with explosive shuriken's. (way too powerful, just thought it'd be cool ) Grenades. 1) Caltrops. Can hold up to 3. (maybe 4 since he's not as fast as the scout) 2) A flash bomb, blinds who ever saw the bomb go off within a certain radius for about a second. Just long enough for a good bunny hopper to get by un-seen. Can hold up to 3. Sepcial Abilities. Wall/Water running. If you've played Ninja Gaiden, you know what I'm talking about. Holding down the special ability key would alow him to run over water or staright up walls, up walls at an angle, (<~~ same going down walls) or straight across the wall (depending on what angel and what direction you hit the wall). And you would hold the same amount of speed wall running as you were when you hit the wall. Wall running is what would make the ninja a more dependable offencive character. Depending on speed and such rather than fighting. It would also force the defence to look EVERY WHERE. You could only wall run for about 2 seconds before falling, but you could easily "bunny hop", for lack of a better term, off and back to the wall and start over without having to fall. Water running would not have a limit. So please give me you're thoughts! Suggestions, so on. |

Oh yeah, the explosive shuriken would stick in walls/enamies for a moment before they explode.
tu! you're a dick. And the only simularity to the spy is the back slash. Any how. If you have an opinion about the class, plz explain your opinion. And again, it's not like it's going to be implamented into the game any way. I'm just throwing out this idea for any tips/suggestions/etc. because I do want to be a video game designer some day. If you don't have any thing helpful to say, then please don't comment. If a dev or someone could comment, that'd be awesome. |

Despite what all these purist fags think, I really like the walks on walls thing. It could bring a whole new dimension to the way people play D.
That said, the TF community is 90% purist fags, so don't ever expect to get anything other than ridicule for new ideas. I mean, look how they react to things like double jump, or sniper tagging |

A question for a dev about this, or any one who could possibly know. Would the water running/wall running even be possible with HL2?

Wasn't it done with that Matrix mod or whatever? Or was that HL1? Either way - anything is possible rly.
Also, Nautral Selection or whatever did it also. |
