GRENADE MODEL

will the demomans pipe-grenade look more like TFC model ...or ugly HL2 grenade model??

the explosion needs to be more dramatic....like in TFC

the nade explosion in HL2 is not up to par for FF imo.

noone said its confirmed ;o
that video seemed to be in fast fwd which happens with fps change etc when making avis

and the nade radius is alot smaller than in tfc so a smaller explosion would make sense. TFC has probably the ugliest explosions in any game ive ever played.. big fat huge chunky pieces of ORANGE CRUD

I think the concussive HL2 explosions are the coolest sounding explosions in any game ever. And, I have to agree with valk, the TFC ones were the worst looking.

Alpha in the explosion sprite ftw!

If you think the HL2 grenade explosions are just a "pop," I'd think you need to get some real speakers.

It's a pop when they're really far away. Medium range it's a pop and a beefy, fire-belching explosion. Up close it's a po--RIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGG.

I assume you'll be taking out the ring.

on a 32 player server...when it's total mayhem and chaos....it's alot of fun
to hear those big BOOOOOMS going off every 1/4 second.

those high pitched nade sounds are gonna wreck your ears if you have headphones on...especially after many hours of play time.
the gameplay is fast paced and chaotic...lots of nade spamming going on.

anyway ..can't wait for the game to come out...gonna be awesome

Question, to the original poster: why would the Demoman's pipes look like the standard pull-the-pin-and-throw grenades from HL2?

I mean, they're not using any other HL2 models. And the Demo's pipes don't have pins.

i think its offensive when sound effects have the 'ringing-inyour-ears' included, when the game should be played at a volume where your ears ring anyway.

Concs aren't explosive, though, they wouldn't have that effect.

It'd still make rocket-jumping, nade-jumping, pipe-jumping, etc. a pain in the ass, though.

Yea, there's far too many explosions in TF for the ringing in the ears effect to not be utterly annoying.

That pipe model they got now rocks. Color does not really matter when people go just spamming them around and thinking they are good..?

He added a question mark to it, that's how.

Contextually, though, no idea.
