Will the detpack bounce off of things like that or will it stick to the first thing it hits? I kind of like the bounce effect myself. It might come in handy for some tight corner detpack planting.
I'm glad the speed is going to be lower. It looked great but I was worried at first about having pipes fly way past their target. Absolutely love how the pipes bounce. Finally the demo is going to be one bad bad man. He already is of course but with some pipe physics he'll be a beast. |

Q:In the video, the demoman presses the red button on the pipelauncher and the detpack drops, so the pipelauncher have to be in use to drop a detpack?

The detpack is just a physics object so once you drop it it will bounce off shit and such until it comes to a rest.

Is the whole "can't move while setting the detpack" thing staying in too? Can you set one in midair?

I figure that was the answer too. Would be pretty neat to plant one in midair though. A five second detpack falling from the sky would certainly put brown stains in my pants.

Ha, yeah you get locked in place when you start setting a detpack (and you've also got to be on the "ground" to start setting one).

so with some careful timing work between a couple of demos, one demo could volley the other's detpack across the map using a pipe trap?
