Never put "beta" in anything. It automatically makes you lazy, especially if it's an OPEN beta.

www.exitemod.com for example.

(Yeah it was an Alpha, same difference though.)

I'm really looking forward to both FF and TF2, but I agree that that is a dirty trick Valve is playing.

Before I get savagely torn limb from limb, I'm of the Quake fortress pedigree and not TF:C, so I'm not sure if either of these titles will be able to tear me away from my quake!

I think to beat the TF2 beta rush, FF should release on midnight the day before. Stoke up a midnight release Eastern time, so West Coast gets it at 9pm, and Euro players get it just in time to start their day.
