4v4 league? Any interest? - Page 3

I rather have sponsors from anything else besides a server company. Mousepads, headsets, whatever, you name it

Just a little story about server prizes (has nothing to do with my opinion about such prize). Exoskeletal dominated the TFC UGC mulch tournament...was given his server and later to be shut down by GoRabid when the term wasn't even close towards ending. That was really harsh from both UGC and Gorabid.

I'm pretty sure many will be against the idea of combining EU and USA for many obvious reasons, including myself.

4v4 OvD sounds great. Let's get away from the money aspect of it - the community is too small and filled with far too many egotistical pricks for its size.

I imagine gr would field a 4v4 team and would be up for having some fun doing so.

Infy - could you get a 4v OvD league going?! in UGC? :P

Other than the fellas, everyone seems to be against money entrance fee (=prizes).

If there were such a league without a money / gadget prizes, would the fellas enter? Probably yes

If the league were to be with entrance fees, would the other clans want to enter? Probably no

So yeah let's try to do this one without entrance fees, bragging rights should be enough of a prize, no?

ok ,listen...me and squeek have talked it over...I am thinking about naming this new league VGL. Vinny's Gaming League. We are going to have a 4v4 league and a 2v2 league. more to come.

kayone...there is no UGC 4v4 league..its been inactive for many months...this new league I am going to make will have a EU division as well... So stay tuned!

Yea.

I live on the west coast and I ping 230 to eu servers. Even switching servers between rounds isn't fair considering they only ping 100 or so to Dallas.

back to league naming/administrating: i don't know what active leagues there are in EU atm, but if we're going with separate EU/USA leagues, then personally i'd like to see a single "official" EU league/ladder - 4v4 initially, with a little section on the FF site and forum, administrated by sensible/neutral ppl, and incorporating all the points (except #3 ofc) from my previous post.

I don't see why you couldn't include EU in the leagues. Have each team that signs up say where they are from and if they want to play against people across the pond or not. This opens it up for EU players who may or may not have many teams sign up and gives US players the ability to play against more people.

Then, at the end, have two winners... a US and a EU. If they want to play against each other in a match after the league is done with, then let them for the bragging rights. If not, no biggy.

I think it would be fairly cool to do something like this.

first of all...why do you say "the goodfellas" dont want a league to combine euros and USA...I would love to have that honestly. I dont think anywhere ever have I said i didnt want euros and usa to combine.. It would be a bit hard and there wuold be complaints on both ends...but if were up for that then yea lets do that.

What credge said about having USA side play to the top...euro side play to the top...USA faces of EURO for the world championship...that soudns like the best idea to me
