FF_TRIUMPH
Hi guys! I'm new around here and I wanted to show you a map I'm doing for
this fabulous mod , which I hope is released soon! It's called FF_TRIUMPH, and it's a typical 2fort CTF map style. Attached are some screens compiled under HL2. As you'll see, I'm using the default HL2 textures. That's why I would like to know if it's possible they release for the mappers the official set of textures and logos. I'm not saying all the SDK with the models, props_stats, etc., just the textures. Note the work is still in progress; more updates, soon. http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/6...riumph1sq9.jpg http://img468.imageshack.us/img468/3...riumph2rw5.jpg http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/5...riumph3gm8.jpg http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/3...riumph4zj0.jpg http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/5...riumph5qc5.jpg http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/870/fftriumph6da7.jpg http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/9...riumph7ll0.jpg Last edited by trepid_jesse; 02-14-2007 at 05:57 PM. |

Looks good can we get some midday sun in there like in this shot:
http://www.fortress-forever.com/?a=media&id=ff_uno_3 Also lighting in general lacks colour add subtle blues, yellows reds and so forth where appropriate since it looks very bland in parts light should never be a clinical white. Last edited by o_own3r; 02-14-2007 at 10:08 PM. |

I'd love to see this with brighter lighting. Just brightening it up a little in Photoshop did wonders for it. I like the architecture. Got a layout planned?

I think the dark night feel is good for this map. Just more lights but not too much.
Looks like a promising start |

Looks nice ! First thing I really noticed when I opened it was the bright white lights, hope you intend to add colour! Red vs Blue isn't Red vs Blue when there's no random red/blue light here and thar :P

Hi all
- I change the sky color to more sunset feeling, its ok? or keep the more sky night - I change the yellow lights colors for a one neutral white in all rooms. Here some more pics, including the flag room http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/8...riumph8vj3.jpg http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/4240/fftriumph9or7.jpg http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/6...iumph10zg1.jpg http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/2...iumph11hs8.jpg http://img460.imageshack.us/img460/4...iumph12hz3.jpg http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/1...iumph13kl0.jpg http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/6...iumph14nu7.jpg |

if you are going to have a dark map, just be sure to make entrances and exits are very well lit.
