Amazon launches DRM free MP3 downloads

For those who are looking for a legal non-allofmp3 DRM-free download site that is not iTunes, this is an "interesting" alternative.

As speculated, Amazon has launched the public beta of its new digital music portal called Amazon MP3, which will feature two million songs from 180,000 artists and 20,000 labels, all without the painful and annoying restrictions of DRM. Nice one, thanks. Never been a fan of DRM and never bought from iTunes.
DRM-free is the way to go. Let's hope they allow non-US customers too. I spotted it didn't seem to mind me adding one to my cart, which is a good thing.

Also, they're 256kbps which isn't too shabby at all

Interesting. If ever I were to consider buying just MP3's I'd give that a look...though I generally prefer to buy the CD itself.
