Crashing on startup

Crashing on Startup
In no particular order:
Run the "Source SDK Base" 'tool' manually via the steam games menu at least once - done

Remove the gamestartup mp3s from the FortressForever/sound/ui directory - no such directory

Computer works fine with TF2, Empires, HL2+Ep1&2, CS:S, Dystopia, Gmod9 and Portal.

No error message is given at time of crash, it only shows the dude with the valve eye, plays the sound, then crashes to desktop and says "HL2.exe has stopped working"

Don't know if it matters or not, but I used the 2.3 full install.

It does matter 2.3 was a patch we didn't make a full install.

DL 2.2 full install then 2.3 patch install.

Well then why does it have the option on the wiki to download the 2.3?

If you are confident that you know what to do with a rar package, download this 2.3 full rar package and extract it to Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\

As far as I know we didn't put that together. I'll check the install tomorrow and if it is in fact bad have them remove it and have the wiki adj. Sorry for the inconvenience. But please try the suggestion I made from the other mirrors.

Works fine with the 2.2 install +2.3patch

So apperently the install that is labeled "full" 2.3 isnt good.

I am guessing Skyrider uploaded it to filefront, thinking it was a full 2.3 Installer.

It's a .7z/rar file. so it wasn't from us.

well a sysop would have had to add it to the dl's page bc it is protected. But i went ahead and took it off of the page since it seems to be messed up.

I put it on there, but I didn't check it first. Assumed Skyrider would have done it correctly.
