Is anyone else a fan? Or perhaps in the know?

I've been re-watching the episodes with my roommates and we immediately remembered a question we've had since the very first episode.

In the opening credits, the part with the weird egg looking things dripping.... does anyone know what the hell those things are supposed to be? I can't find it on the internet at all. I've found multiple descriptions of the title sequence but they all skip that particular segment. Honestly, it's driving me insane. I want to know...need to know what they are.

So.... little help?

I've seen only one or two episodes... Mainly because back in the day I was flipping channels and noticed that my cousin was on TV (he was friends with the lead actor at the time).

In the earlier years I used to like that show, but as time went on I didn't like it so much.

My birds however LOVED the theme song. Every time it came on they would scream their heads off, both budgies and cockatiels.
