Its sad but I dont get the opportunity to read much fiction at all, of any type. However I feel a pressing need to tell you guys who love ingenuity, sci-fi, adventure, novelty, and incredible storylines to play Dreamfall: The Longest Journey... an amazing story... with curve-ball after curve-ball in a plot that I couldnt have predicted from 5 minuets before the too-soon ending.

I just finished it... there is just SOOO much story... if you like extreme action, stay away from this, although this does have a good dose of it, it is by far not a hack-and-slash.

Hands down, best storyline of any game or work of fiction I have ever played or read... hell, even heard of. I mean, fuck, I was even attached to my characters. And that NEVER happens to me outside of MMOs.

ps: If any of you could recomend some nice fantasy books that come in e-book or .pdf format, I would love to hear about what to try... especialy if anything is like *this* story. I carry around a lappy and as busy as I am, even with my breaks, I cant add the extra weight of a full fledged book and nor do I have the space for it. Not to mention I read on the screen much faster than on paper now, so sad. And know whats sadder? my recent test has confirmed that I type faster than I read =/ ... how the hell is that possible! ... but alas it is and I think I might have something wrong with me. I fall back on the excuse that English is actualy my 2nd language.

What If? 2

What if Socrates died on the battlefield at Delium in 424 B.C. taking with him all western thought?

What if Pontius Pilate didn't order Jesus to be crucified?

What if Abraham Lincoln didn't abolish slavery?

What if the assassin succeeded and Franklin D. Roosevelt was assassinated in 1933?

What if Pope Pius XII spoke out against the Holocaust?

What if General Eisenhower seized the chance to stop the Nazis in the fall of 1944, and spared the world six more months of World War Two?

Interesting book to read.

It's embarrassing, because I have a BA in English & Creative Writing, but I haven't read much at all lately. A lot of it is because in grad school reading=work, and that really hurt reading for pleasure. Trying to get back into it again, though.

Also, I've been writing again myself. In the same way that mapping takes away my gaming time, writing replaces my reading time.

Audiobooks are something I have started to enjoy, though. Listened to Fiasco by Thomas E. Ricks a while back, and really enjoyed it. It's a nice thing to do while cleaning my apartment, etc., or for longer car trips.

I'd really like to go back and re-read Sandman again sometime... maybe the original Shannara trilogy, too.

I read that in grade 6. That's a good book.

At the moment, I'm not reading anything. Reading is boring now.

Just finished the 2 James Barclay Ascendants books , an enjoyable read.

Now a bit stuck for things to read so I may have a go at The God Delusion , read the cover blurb and it looked pretty good

Ugh, couldn't read Harry Potter. I don't see why they're so popular.
