GambiTLight texture pack(in progress)
yep...i'm working on one...i'm open to suggestions and request's...

ty Hawk..not to bad for just starting off making textures in source eh?...i also have a texture pack im working on...right now it has...hang on one sec...345 textures....they are HL2 textures that i added team colors to and some of them are textures i made out of HL2 textures(the 2 textures in the above room i made from one plain texture in HL2)...

i changed the SS in the first post...i'm redoing them....those i done in a couple of hours so it wont take long...but the reason for it is...when i was making 1 texture in 6 different colors(red,blue,green,yellow,warm,red) i was using the same alpha channel on all of them...i went back out of curiosity and remade a few of them with their own alpha and it was a noticable difference in game...so i'm redoing them...

First off, I could have sworn that I downloaded this pack already. I remember those lights. If you already mentioned that, then excuse me not reading it correctly.
Secondly, I would suggest using more subtle colors, and variations of the colors...like different shades of the same color. Also, out of all those lights I like the ones with the metal frame around 'em. The others would look better with realistic frames imo, but thats just my opinion. Otherwise, yea, I use these every now and then. There aren't many lights to choose from in the default packs ( and I dont have CS, so idk what that includes). |

i made 233 textures....those are what i have redone so far...
you didnt DL this pack because i havent released it.... i am doing on average 3 diff tones of the same color on each texture....you will have your choice of textures trust me |

i will when i'm finished....BUT...since im working on lights i guess i can release my pack of wall,floor textures...i'll do that this weekend...

Those last shots rock, GambiT!
Make some more with that level of realism. So many light texture for FF seem absurdly cartoony, low-res or out of place. I also dig the bottom left, bottom center and top right textures. mm good. EDIT: Oh, and you might want to include textures to make the side of the light fixture. A thin line or something. For example, if I make a box that has your light texture on the bottom and the top is flush to the ceiling, a texture I can put on the sides. <3 your work. |

These look really good. Mostly 'cause they're higher res. Some of the ported HL1 ones look terribly out of place.
