I don't understand what it is. A remake of an older computer, or a "proof of concept" computer based on new procedures ?

when most people say they "build computers" they mean buy the parts and assemble them according to how the boxes say they go together.
this guy appears to have -really- built a computer... i mean, this is the equiv of assembling the motherboard and everything manually. quite cool, though I doubt it's of much use. |

Heh, I had to do stuff like that in my Computer Engineering classes - in simulation software. And that was annoying enough.
That's freakin' insane to do it all physically |

Altera is laaaame!
I'm assuming you used Altera, or uhhhh Quartus, Jiggles. It's lame eitherway though, and we would build the simulations and then program then into the Altera PLDs, and then sometimes we'd translate the simulation over to the "breadboards." The point is, it was tedious, and I'm glad I don't have to do it anymore. Skeet? |

As annoying as it was, it wasn't nearly as bad as my Compilers class. Lex and Yacc can die a thousand deaths. |
