Commodores!
Without reference to Lionel Richie..
Did any of you guys have a Commodore back in the day? be it a C64, Amiga, PET even? My first ever computer was a CBM 8296. I then had loads of Amigas for years after that. I even got a PCMCIA sampler for the A1200! I currently have a boxful of C64s originally intended for butchering, but ended up just being collected. Share your experiences! |

hah my grandma and grandpa both programmed for the commodore, they made some games and such, and i think my grandpa even had some sort of a point of sale system he made for his tv repair business. I never had anything like that, my first pc was an emachines, and my first game console was an NES, although the most oddball system I owned was Socrates

I'll update this later, but I have a 4000Tower up for sale, if anyone is interested.

Still have my Vic-20 along with its original packaging and its exquisite tape drive. Later, purchased the Commodore 128 and thought I was really uptown. My 300 baud Vic modem is tucked away in the attic along with some VIC-20 games like Blue Meanies From Outer Space, Amok and Spiders of Mars.
I also still have almost every edition of Compute Magazine, which was a must have for us Commodore users! I remember having Q-Link, who later became AOL, as my Internet provider and I remember texting with people online in Canada. WOW! was that an experience! Use to buy some games from a company in Mesquite, TX that worked out of a trailer size office in a storage facility called id Software and I would also shop at a small store in a strip center called Soft Warehouse in Addison who eventually became CompUSA! There's still a couple of Commodore games I wish I could play again! |
