I think you need an agent. I also think you shouldn't take mods serious that are approaching YOU. Unless you're a super-hot celebrity that is (ARE YOU!?!?!?!?!!!?!??!)

Its a source mod thats trying to get good outer-space ship combat spliced with invade and control FPS player battles.
It fell flat because the space battles were horrible, movement in space was bad, and you shot Christmas tree ornaments, red and green, at other ships all day until someone tried to land in the hanger, which is a feet in it's self. Haven't heard anything about the mod team though, I thought they were french or something. |

Thought it was pretty lame. Hangars also present a major design flaw as people can simply camp, thus neutralizing any attempts at offense.

I really enjoyed the Mod. I love space based combat. The controls were complex.. but such is the beast when you're moving in full 3D. Once you get the hang of it, its not too bad.
My problem with the mod was the FPS bit. Headshots weren't instant kill w/ high power rifles... that was really annoying. Seemed to me the hitboxes didn't register a good third of the hits, and that hits in the same place were very inconsistant. Would I play the mod again? Maybe, if it was just the space based bit... the FPS however needs serious work before I'd consider it.

Yea, I meant that I doubt I'd play the beta again, till some of the more pressing issues were ironed out.
I definatly enjoyed the time I spent playing it... But I found that most servers had very few maps running that involved the space bit. One of the space maps (the one where each base is in an asteroid) was hardly played at all on any of the servers up at the time. That's my favorite map. Definatly needs more space maps, fewer FPS maps *nods*. Come to think of it.. I think ill install it when I get home and see if anything's been changed. Been a few months since I played it. I talked to one of the dev's in game.. dun remember who was, and he seemed interested in what my opinion was regarding current game play (this was a few months ago), so hopefully they listened! *cant wait to get home so I can check it out again* edit to add: Beta 3 isn't out yet! Doh! Guess its the same build then that I played before.

I really liked the idea and theme to it but like everyone who's played it has said, there are many consistency issues with hitboxes and movement. I'm a crazy addict of FPS and space shooter sims, so mixing the two was just heaven. But alas, shit happens. I'll definitely download it again once they fix some of these issues.

A public beta does NOT work when you have major bugs or things that aren't finished. Public betas are for cleaning up small things, finding small bugs, and balancing. If the public beta is really bad, people will keep clean of the mod forever... and that can be bad.
