USB question
I bought a usb headset and when i plug them in it doesn't do anything at all. I get no windows hardware windows, nor does the headset produce sound. thinking it was the headset itself i decided to plug in my mouse, yet again not working. So after finding out that neither of my two usb ports work, i was curious if there is some sort of program that can scan my usb ports to see if they are functional. The headset is the logitech premiem usb 350, they didn't come w/ drivers nor do the logitech website offer them. Also i'm running on windows XP professional (if anyone was interested).

Make sure the USB ports are enabled in the BIOS. Then make sure you've installed your motherboard's chipset drivers correctly. Then, follow the installation instructions that came with your headset. You'll probably need a driver to use the mic, once you get the ports working.

Did you try another port?
I had a funny problem were I couldn't get my digital camera to sinc with this computer. I tried running it through a powered USB hub, no luck. I tried going online and installing the drivers, no luck So I plugged it into the port which my mouse was plugged into and bingo, it worked. |
