All we needed for more players was to be in the Steam store and get some P.R. going. We have that.

I'll tell you right now, I'm one of two P.R. guys and we're both going to bust our asses to keep new and fresh stuff going for FF. This is just the start.

I should mention the 2.1 preview video has a combined 4,000+ views and 100 downloads and it's only been 2 days and 3 hours since it's been out.

I'm really proud of the work you and the team have done. I've met so many people who have found FF through the steam store and they honestly believe it's the 'coolest game ever'.

So many people on the devs list and so few people player right now that if we were to split the money from Valve we would probably get 5 bucks each lol. We would have to split equally between everyone, even those who did pretty much nothing. So like... we'd probably end up giving the money to charity or something cause that would make more sense. Seriously, how many people do you think would be ready to pay for this game anyways? Not enough to make it worth it. So yeah... that's out of the question.

I wish I could work with a smaller group on a commercial project though. I'd be happy to get 20,000$ a year to make maps. I'm already spending a huge part of my free time doing it for free so I would have no problem getting paid a ridiculously small amount to just do this all year long. I'm not really after making more money than that tbh so I'd be a great bargain.

Maybe you should go to college for level design?

You have to understand, level design =/= mapmaking. If you're a level designer... you design levels. You come up with the concepts, the layouts, etc. If you're a mapper, then you're basically just doing the level designer's grunt work.

Kinda like he did for dropdown? I think he has the level design part down.

College costs shit loads, man. And as soon as you're out, in come the collectors. One should just be able to make what he likes and show it off. If you have the ability to teach yourself well, that should be good enough for a resume. Anyway, I digress. I hate school.

P.S. I agree with Sh4x's second paragraph, but I think FF would make more money than you believe.

I believe in FF and what it can be and will be. Twisted Network just got a server 6 days ago and we've brought the people from our TF2/TFC servers with us. Within the 6 days we've already reached rank 9 on the top FF servers. While that is very sad and shows how very little the game has expanded across the normal servers everyone just plays in, it does show that we can increase the player count if communities from other games expand to FF. I hope you guys check it out.

Go to college in sweden. It's completely subsidised by the government and with a range of swedish schools with english courses.
